Objective: The objective of GoMaster is to strategically place stones on the board, capturing territory and opponent's stones.
Board Setup: The game is played on a grid board. One player uses black stones, and the other uses white stones.
Turns: Players take turns placing one stone of their color on any empty intersection of the board.
Capturing Stones: Stones are captured by surrounding them on all orthogonally-adjacent points with your stones.
Territory: Territory is claimed by surrounding empty intersections with your stones. The player with the most territory wins.
Ending the Game: The game ends when both players agree, or when both players pass consecutively. Stones are then counted, and the player with the most territory wins.
Ko Rule: The Ko rule prevents repeating previous board positions. This helps prevent endless loops of capture and recapture.
Strategy: Good GoMaster players understand balance, influence, and control. Use strategic placement of stones to control the board.
Practice: Like any strategy game, practice is essential to mastering GoMaster. Play regularly to improve your skills.
